My Botanical Art Series is inspired by the plants, flowers, and natural forms I observe in my daily life. I’m always drawn to the small details—the curve of a leaf, the pattern on a stem, the way color shifts as a plant moves through its seasonal cycle. These artworks capture those observations and translate them into mixed media pieces that highlight shape, texture, and the quiet structure found in nature.
Each piece is created using acrylic paint and hand-painted collage papers. I work in layers, building the surface slowly to create depth, contrast, and areas of interest. This layered process allows the botanical forms to feel grounded yet expressive, combining realistic elements with abstract mark making to reflect the way nature often feels: familiar, but full of surprises.
