My Fungi Series is inspired by the hidden networks and quiet structures found in the forest floor. Mushrooms and fungi have always interested me for their resilience, their unexpected forms, and the way they break down and rebuild the natural world. Each artwork in this series highlights those qualities—growth, renewal, and the subtle beauty found in places we often overlook.
Each piece is created using a combination of acrylic paint and hand-painted collage papers. I build the surface through layering, adding texture and adjusting color so the forms feel dimensional and organic. This mixed media approach allows the fungi to emerge from the background much like they do in nature—gradually, with character and a sense of presence.
